Job summary
The GBV & SEA Response Coordinator will lead survivor-centred GBV/SEA case management, supervise case workers, & coordinate referrals with health, police, legal, & psychosocial service providers. The role ensures confidential, ethical case handling, strengthens district referral systems, & supports safeguarding compliance, reporting, and monitoring
Job descriptions & requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead GBVH & SEA case management activities within the project area.
- Supervise Case Management Team and coordinate survivor-centered services.
- Manage Survivor Intake and Response
- Ensure confidential intake, documentation and follow-up of GBV cases.
- Coordinate referrals with health facilities, Police Child & Family Protection Units, legal aid and psychosocial services.
- Support strengthening of district GBV referral systems.
- Prepare case management reports and support project monitoring.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ugandan nationals with an Honours bachelor’s degree in Social Work
and Social Administration, Gender Studies, Psychology, Public Health,
Development Studies, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in GBV/SEA case management or safeguarding programs.
- Strong knowledge of Uganda GBV referral pathways and survivor-centered approaches.
- Experience working with district protection systems and community stakeholders.
- Experience supervising or coordinating GBV case management teams is an added advantage.
- No criminal record.
- Willingness to travel and work in upcountry locations is essential.
