The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking for a Gardener forthe CIP office in Kampala, Uganda.

One CGIAR science is dedicatedto transforming food, land, and water systems in a climate crisis, and it iscarried out by 13 CGIAR Centers/Alliances in close collaboration with hundredsof partners, including national and regional research institutes, civil societyorganizations, academia, development organizations and the private sector.

 ThePosition:

 Theselected candidate will report to the Administrative Assistant II. He/She willassume the following duties and responsibilities:

Location: Kampala,Uganda

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensuringthe CIP-Uganda office compound is well maintained by trimming the plants, weedingaround them and watering in especially dry season
Liaisingwith garbage collector to remove all rubbish around the office.
Managethe flowers, removing old ones and planting new ones.
Clearingwater-ways for smooth flow of water off the compound.
Check thecompound for any issues like water leakage, perimeter wall in case of cracks onthe wall and wire fence in case of attempts to break through.
Clean thevehicles at the office.
Overseethe function of the office generator for fuel top up.
Performother duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
