About Sio Valley Technologies
SioValley Technologies is a Ugandan startup working to change how we think about agriculture. Many agriculture value chains haven't changed much over the last 50 years, and we think that's a problem. We are a group of passionate innovators who are hell-bent on changing how things are done, starting with how food is stored.
We're on a mission to solve the food storage crisis happening in East Africa- 40% of fresh fruits and vegetables are spoiled every day, which means farmers get paid less, market ladies sell less, and consumers eat less. Current storage technologies revolve around the ability to preserve food by lowering the temperature (think cold rooms), which is an expensive and resource intensive solution...keeping many people "out of the cold" because they cant afford it.
But what if food storage didn't require cold temperatures? We've created an innovative product that stores fruit and vegetables at room temperature and we're looking for passionate people to join our team and help grow our product.
