About Hospice Africa Uganda
Hospice Africa Uganda (HAU) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing palliative care services to terminally ill patients in Uganda. Founded in 1993 by Dr. Anne Merriman, HAU has been at the forefront of the palliative care movement in Africa, working tirelessly to improve the quality of life for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
At HAU, we believe that every patient deserves to live their final days with dignity and comfort. Our team of dedicated healthcare professionals provides compassionate care to patients in their homes, in hospitals, and at our hospice centers across Uganda.
In addition to providing direct patient care, HAU is also involved in training healthcare workers and raising awareness about palliative care in Uganda and beyond. Through our training programs and advocacy efforts, we are working to ensure that all patients have access to the care and support they need at the end of life.
