Youth Agribusiness Hub Manager

Location: Purongo Town Council, Nwoya District, Uganda

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Youth Agribusiness Hub.
• Oversee the operations of the Youth Agri-Investment Fund, ensuring proper allocation, tracking disbursements, and maintaining comprehensive records of fund utilization.
• Oversee all agricultural activities within the Youth Agricultural Parks (YAPs), ensuring crops are well planted, grown, and harvested on schedule.
• Oversee the agricultural value addition services at the Youth Agribusiness Hub.
• Support trainings on entrepreneurship to beneficiaries of the Youth Agribusiness Hub
• Prepare accurate weekly reports for the Youth Agribusiness Hub.
• Ensure adherence to organizational regulations, policies, and procedures. 

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or other advanced qualifications in these fields can be an added advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience in agricultural management, agribusiness, or working with youth in the agricultural sector.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including the Youth Agri-Investment Fund and agricultural activities within Youth Agricultural Parks.
• Proven ability to oversee projects, manage teams, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership skills with experience in managing teams and overseeing day-to-day operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare letter outlining their relevant experience, passion for youth development in agriculture, and qualifications.
