Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Supervises Casuals.
Location: Uganda
On behalf of our client, one of the leading multi-national coffee exporters with an average annual export volume of 200,000 tones, we are sourcing to recruit a suitably qualified candidate to join the team as a Warehouse Officer to drive the company’s growth plan.
Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Officer will be responsible for coffee stock management while working closely with the casual staff
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Update warehouse software, excel stock sheet and share updated stocks on daily basis.
- Having containers inspected and the right quantities loaded against the right loading order.
- Liaise with Logistics Department daily for coffee trucking.
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovatively or advise existing work procedures and practices.
- Supervise the bagging of coffee and ensure that each bag is of the required weight.
- Ensure that shipment samples for each container loaded are drawn and submitted to the Sample Room.
- Ensure that stocks are organized for the routine end-of-month stock check exercise
- Supervise the quality of the coffee being processed.
