Job Title - Medical officer - Ugandan
Purpose
The medical officer will be responsible for offering the holistic institutional management ofpatients through clinical diagnosis, investigation, and treatments in line with established
protocols and the Play Zuri Health Limited patient care objectives.
Job Scope
The medical officer must, acting to the best of his/her ability, provide the services via the
platform which shall include, without limitation the following:
● First-level medical consultation with the patient
● Diagnosis of the patient
● Requesting laboratory investigations
● Prescription of medicine
● Doctor at-home visits
● Referral to a physical general practitioner and referral to a specialist
Skills & Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Medicine with 3-4 years of clinical experience.
● Possess a valid practicing licences.
● Clinical risk management experience
● Valid indemnity cover ( where Applicable).
● Extensive knowledge of digital medical recordkeeping practices.
● Tech-savvy and ability to quickly master the use of digital solutions such as Google
Suite, Microsoft Office amongst others.
● Advanced ability to ensure the highest standards in patient care and compliance with
healthcare regulations.
● Ability to keep abreast of advancements in the field of specialization.
● Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
● The ability to communicate fluently in French, both verbally and in writing would be an
added advantage.
● Certificate of Good Conduct
Nb : Candidates are required to attach their relevant valid practicing licenses and certified education credentials as part of the application process.
1. Monitoring and providing appropriate clinical care ( medical and surgical) to patients.
2. Examining and talking to patients to diagnose their medical conditions.
3. Ensuring the highest standards in patient care are maintained.
4. Verifying complex diagnoses and facilitating treatment plans.
5. Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
6. Reporting to the senior management, as well as liaising between administrative and
medical staff.
7. Ensuring consistent and accurate medical record-keeping practices as well as adhere
to data protection regulations.
8. Maintaining patient rights and being aware of cultural differences when dealing with
patients.
9. Liaising with other medical and non-medical staff in the organization to ensure quality
treatment as well as in research and design of services and product offerings.
10. Perform corporate wellness screenings, medical camps/outreaches as well as doctor
at home service.
11. Reporting on-call ( off shifts, weekends, and holidays) as scheduled.
12. Performing administrative duties and risk management.
13. Managing allocated budgets and identifying areas of improvement in patient care.
14. Keeping informed on advancements in the field and contributing to medical research
programs.
15. Admitting patients requiring special care followed by investigations and treatment.
16. Any other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.
17. Program Management - Ensuring seamless virtual healthcare delivery, optimizing
clinical workflows, and enhancing patient care through various programs in women's
health, continuous care, telemedicine and outreach programs.
18. Public Health & Specialized Care – Excited about telemedicine, public health,
women's health, and non-communicable diseases, with a commitment to improving
healthcare access, patient outcomes, and innovative digital health solutions.
