Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with accounting principles and internal policies.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliations.
• Assist in tax preparation and filing, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and information.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial reporting and analysis.
• Recommend improvements to financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Statutory compliance including URA, NSSF, LST & payroll processing

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA (ongoing or completed) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or packaging company.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Tally or ERP systems).
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Data Analysis.

• Experience in inventory management and cost accounting.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Team player with a proactive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
