1.0 Job Purpose
To enforce internal controls in line with established company policies and regulations.

2.0 Reporting Relationships:
2.1 Reports directly to:
  • Financial Controller

2.2 Direct reports:
  • Accountant.
  • Accounts Assistants.
  • Records Officer.

Key Working Relationships:

  • Company Management
  • Internal users of financial information

  • Suppliers
  • Bankers
  • Government Agencies
  • External Auditors

3.0 Key Responsibilities of the job:
  • Maintain and review internal financial controls and monitor financial transactions for compliance.
  • Maintain an accurate record of current assets, creditors, debtors, liabilities, and shareholders' capital.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Ensure regular reconciliations are carried out of the bank accounts and the P & L and Balance Sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure strict adherence to credit control measures/supplier credit terms and prompt debt collection for better cash flow.
  • Ensure prompt payment to suppliers to uphold supplier confidence and ensure uninterrupted supply of goods and services.
  • Maintain proper records for all financial transactions.
  • Formulate/set performance objectives and targets for staff (using the HK system) based on business goals.
  • Profile staff skills/competency needs and develop annual training and capacity building programmes based on priority needs, including career growth/succession plans.
  • Perform any other assignments as directed by Management

5.1 Academic and/or Professional Qualifications:
  • Degree plus Professional qualification – CPA, ACCA
5.2 Previous relevant work experience required
  • Minimum of 7 years
