Job Role:
To protect company property and premises at all times using company policies by patrolling, guarding, and reporting.
Person Specifications
Qualification and Experience:
- A minimum of UCE (& UACE) Certificate in Education
- Should have a fair command of the English language.
- At least 6 months experience as a Security guard
Skills and Abilities:
- Written and verbal communication
- Alertness at all times
- Mentally upright and sound
- Sensitivity to the surroundings.
- Should be between 20- 45 years of age
Key Result Areas
Duties and Responsibilities
Patrolling
- Ensuring the safety of coffee in the plantations
- Patrolling of the banana fields to prevent thefts
- Protecting cocoa plantations from thefts
- Ensure no illegal activities e.g. grazing, or illegal cultivation in the company premises
- Designing the school’s aims and objectives
Maintaining company boundaries, safety, and clean
- Protecting company boundary from encroachers
- Stopping illegal cultivation
- Maintaining company boundaries clean
Keeping Security at the company entry points ( gates)
- Checking and searching vehicles/persons before allowing access to company premises
- Inquiring from the relevant offices through phone calls before allowing visitors on the company's premises.
- Recording relevant information of the visitors in the register book before allowing access.
Escort duties
- Escorting products from company fields to the factory premises
- Verification of products during loading and offloading
- Recording details of the products in the field and after arrival at the office e.g. matooke. Coffee kilos
- Escorting money to & from the bank
Emergency responses
- Immediate stoppage of fire-outs breaks whenever they occur in the fields.
- Passing on communication to teachers, pupils, and parents
Reporting
- Inform the supervisors immediately about any occurrences immediately by phone and written reports. E.g. thefts, accidents, encroachments, fights in the labor villages, etc
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Line Manager.
