SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Promote and sell company goods, products, and services:
a) Identify appropriate prospects (potential new clients and buyers), set appointments and make effective qualifying sales calls and site visits;
b) Explain the benefits of the company products, goods, or services to new customers in order to promote and build brand loyalty;
c) Respond to and follow up customer online inquiries related to products, services, purchases, pricing and availability;
d) Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities;
e) Maintain a client database and reach out to customer leads through cold calling;
f) Achieve or exceed agreed upon weekly and monthly sales targets and outcomes within schedule;
g) Manage client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered;
h) Expedite the resolution of customer concerns and complaints through investigation and developing solutions to maximize satisfaction.
2) Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to maintain a high level of service and loyalty.
3) Provide customers with an expected budget/quotation, payment agreements, and delivery estimates:
a) Negotiate prices and terms, draft contracts, quotations and oversee all purchase/ Sales agreements;
b) Manage pricing and sales data, as well as activity reports;
c) Conduct post-sale follow ups in order to assess and assist customers with any concerns or inquiry they may have.
4) Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, call reports, workplans and any other reports required by management.
5) Keep up to date on current market changes and trends:
a) Keep abreast of best practices and promotional/sales trends by attending conferences, seminars and reviewing professional publications;
b) Monitor market fluctuations, tendencies, pricing and trends as well as regular competitor monitoring;
c) Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
6) Carry out any other duties as may from time to time be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
a) A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma qualification in Marketing or Business studies with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising and sales from a recognised University/Institution.
b) Proven experience in sales will be an added advantage.
c) Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
d) Problem-solving, presentation and organizational skills.
e) Ability to mobilize customers in both rural and urban settings.
f) Quick learner with excellent selling, persuasion and negotiation skills.
g) Fluency in English, Luganda and any other local language.
h) Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
i) Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
