Job Description/Requirements

  1. Sales Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and target potential customers through various channels, such as cold calling, networking, and attending trade shows or events.
  2. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  3. Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the company’s products and services, and be able to effectively communicate their benefits and features to customers.
  4. Sales Presentations: Conduct product presentations, demos, and meetings with potential and existing customers to highlight the value of the products.
  5. Negotiation and Closing Deals: Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to close sales effectively and meet sales targets.
  6. Sales Targets and Quotas: Achieve or exceed sales goals by meeting quotas set by the company or management.
  7. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research to understand market trends, competitor products, and customer needs, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  8. Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and deal progress in CRM systems or sales reports.
  9. Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and optimal customer experience.
  10. Follow-Up and After-Sales Service: Ensure a smooth transition after sales by providing after-sales support, addressing any customer concerns, and securing repeat business.
  11. Problem Solving: Address any issues or objections raised by customers in a professional manner, offering solutions to maintain customer satisfaction.
  12. Continuous Learning and Development: Participate in training sessions, workshops, and industry events to improve sales skills and product knowledge.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
  • High school diploma or equivalent for entry-level roles may be acceptable.


Experience:

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative, Sales Associate, or in a similar role (e.g., 2+ years for entry-level, 5+ years for senior roles).
  • Experience in B2B (Business to Business) or B2C (Business to Consumer) sales is a plus.
  • Experience in the relevant industry or sector is often preferred (e.g., manufacturing, tech, retail).


Sales Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Ability to close deals and meet sales quotas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
  • Skilled in handling objections and resolving customer concerns effectively.
