Job reporting to Head of Sales and Marketing  

Job Location: Kampala, Uganda  


Our client is currently seeking a self-driven and enthusiastic Sales representative to sell our clean energy Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG). Experience will be an added advantage but we are ready to take graduates and train them to fit within our core values, mission, and vision of the company.  

  

 JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT 

  • Achieve maximum sales, growth, and account penetration within the LPG Market by effectively selling the company’s products and value-added services and providing technical support to customers.  
  • Responsible for the sale of LPG to all market sectors particularly domestic segment and  distributors  
  • Support existing customers and canvas for prospective new customers to ensure growth  and sustainable business  
  • Liaise with the Team on various issues related to customers and problem solving  
  • Provide exemplary customer service while ensuring the customers meet their contractual  obligations

EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Graduate in either Business Related or Marketing field  
  • Computer Literacy (Intermediate) Excel, Word, PowerPoint  
  • Valid Drivers License  
  • Fluent in Luganda and English  


KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, and COMPETENCIES REQUIRED 

  • Interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and within a team  environment  
  • Strong communication abilities (written and spoken) at ALL levels.  
  • Administrative skills, organization, and planning  
  • Presentation/Training Skills  
  • Product Knowledge would be an advantage  
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving  
  • Ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).   Results-oriented  


RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Finding/engaging new Customers to meet and exceed organization sales objectives.  
  • Managing your time effectively in order to excel in a multifaceted role  
  • Develop and maintain sales-focused relationships with appropriate customers and  potential customers contacts  
  • Carry out all activities related to technical and commercial business development  and management i.e. technical training to public and customers, product  
  • demonstration, structuring of business sales campaigns  
  • Research and assess customer requirements and offer the services accordingly
  • Make telephone calls and visit in person and do presentations to prospective customers. Develops clear and effective written proposals  
  • Promote Taifa Brand at all times  
  • Present Taifa Customer Value Proposition to prospective Customers, which  should include but not be limited to price quotes, service arrangements  and identify advantages and opportunities  
  • Ensure customer contracts are in place and maintained. Monitor company and  customer performance in terms of contractual obligations  
  • Track customers account status and follow up on overdue accounts  
  • Motivate LPG Distributors and ensure their compliance with contractual  obligations  
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results in reports such as  daily, weekly work plans, and monthly analyses
