Job Summary

The overall objectives of this position are to a) increase Ohh La La’s client base and drive growth in sales and b) ensure Ohh La La clients receive products on time with great customer service. The Sales Assistant will work closely with the CEO to drive direct marketing as well as engage with Ohh La La’s existing client base and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

UGX400,000 basic stipend, commission on sales, fuel and airtime allowance plus use of Ohh La La motorcycle/scooter for delivery and marketing

Summary Responsibilities & Functions


Responsibilities

Sales & Marketing

  • Ensure on-time delivery of Ooh La La products to clients around Kampala
  • Ensure excellent customer service and high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Support CEO to market Ooh La La products and meet weekly and monthly sales targets
  • Support CEO to represent Ooh La La brand and expand client base
  • Input to Ooh La La marketing strategy
  • Log sales using POS software
  • Keep accurate financial records
  • Maintain Ooh La La fleet, including over-seeing maintenance and servicing

Required Competencies

The successful applicant should have the following qualifications, skills, experience, and capabilities:

  • At least 1 year’s experience in a sales role
  • Track record of meeting challenging sales targets and growing sales over time
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Valid driving license and ability to drive a motorcycle/scooter
  • Diploma in Marketing or relevant field
  • Proficient in direct marketing and online marketing
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to influence and persuade clients
  • Understanding of fashion and jewelry trends
  • Proficiency in Luganda is desirable

Other details

  • The role is based in Bukasa, Muyenga with daily travel around Kampala
  • Working hours Monday – Saturday 9-5 pm
