Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client Microhaem Scientifics and Medical Supplies Ltd (MHS),  we are looking for a competent ,  skilled, and experienced  IT and communications manager to work in Uganda .

Job Summary: As the IT and Communications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brandâs narrative and optimizing technological infrastructure. Your responsibilities encompass managing both the ICT department and communication strategies to enhance our overall organizational image. From overseeing IT operations to directing marketing initiatives, youâll be at the forefront of driving our brand forward.

Roles and Responsibilities:

IT Management:

Lead and manage the ICT department, ensuring optimal performance and resource allocation. Define the strategic direction for the companyâs communication channels. Spearheaded the development and acquisition of ICT software and hardware. Monitor daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems. Coordinate technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance. Provide technical guidance in hardware and software selection, procurement, and replacement. Test, troubleshoot, and modify information systems for effective operation. Develop and update protocols and strategies for sustaining ICT infrastructures. Ensure ICT activities comply with relevant laws, codes, and regulations. Stay abreast of technological advances and industry best practices. Orientate staff on the application and utilization of ICT equipment. Evaluate the viability of proposed projects and conduct regular system audits. Develop systems tailored to the organizationâs needs. Run regular checks on network and data security. Direct technological research by studying organizational goals, practices, and strategies.

Communications Management:

Represent the organization at events and press conferences. Develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns and strategies. Define key performance indicators for each communications channel. Determine strategic communications campaigns aligning with organizational goals. Create internal communications protocols and initiatives to foster employee morale. Oversee the creation of consistent marketing and communications collateral. Develop and update protocols and strategies for sustaining ICT infrastructures.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelorâs degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Proven experience of 5 years in managing IT infrastructure and communication services. Strong experience in computer networks, network administration, and installation. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective communication strategies. Ability to lead and motivate departmental staff toward organizational goals. Excellent knowledge of industry trends and technological advancements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Proven experience in representing organizations at various events and conferences.
