Job Overview:

As the Social Media and Promotion Manager at Black Market Records, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote our artists, albums, and events. You will play a pivotal role in increasing our brand awareness, expanding our fan base, and driving revenue growth.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT systems, providing technical support to our employees, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. 

You will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that align with our brand and marketing goals. Your role is critical in building and maintaining a strong online community of music enthusiasts.


Marketing

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and promotional plans for artists and music releases.
  • Collaborate with artists and their teams to create effective marketing campaigns.
  • Manage advertising budgets and allocate resources to optimize marketing efforts.
  • Identify and build partnerships with influencers, bloggers, and media outlets in the music industry.
  • Utilize digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising, to reach target audiences.
  • Create compelling content, including press releases, social media posts, and newsletters.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance using analytics tools to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Organize and promote music events, such as album launches and concerts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with music journalists, bloggers, and radio stations.


IT management 

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of data by implementing and monitoring security measures.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors for IT procurement and support services.
  • Manage software licenses and updates.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to improve efficiency and security.
  • Perform regular system backups and data recovery procedures.
  • Stay current with technology trends and make recommendations for system improvements.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of employees on IT-related tools and processes.


Social media management 

  • Develop and implement social media marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Manage and curate content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and more.
  • Create engaging and visually appealing social media posts, stories, and videos.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends and engage with our online community.
  • Analyze social media data and insights to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with artists and marketing teams to coordinate social media efforts.
  • Plan and execute social media advertising campaigns to drive engagement and conversions.
  • Stay updated on emerging social media trends and tools.
  • Manage social media budgets effectively.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT support and system administration.
  • Proven experience in social media management, preferably in the music or entertainment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and trends.
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for music and a deep understanding of the music industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
