Project Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer will oversee SAYE’s MEL framework. track project outcomes, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role supports effective project monitoring and continuous learning to achieve its objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or related fields or an equivalent with an academic focus on monitoring and evaluation or another related field with at least 4 years working experience.
  
• At least 4 years of experience in Monitoring. Evaluation, and Learning.

Project Effectiveness (60%)

• Implement and update the SAYE MEL framework and systems for data collection. quality assurance. and decision-making.
  
• Conduct data analysis. audits, and dissemination while maintaining accurate project databases.
  
• Develop M&E tools and guidelines: support staff training and technical capacity-building.
  
• Coordinate MEL activities with internal teams and external evaluators.
  
  

Reporting and Documentation (20%)

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  
• Document success stories. lessons learned. and project impacts.
  
• Monitor and improve the quality of collected data and reports.
  

Management and Compliance (20%)

• Ensure project alignment with monitoring and evaluation guidelines.
  
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard participant data.
  
• Develop monitoring indicators and track corrective measures to keep projects on track.
  
• Organize project reviews, workshops, and dissemination of reports.
  
• Summarize/ aggregate data at Partner level and contribute to Consortium-wide aggregation.
  
• Manage all data properly in clean form, and analyze to use for project management. learning and meet all the reporting needs.
