Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager specializing in Water Irrigation Projects to oversee and manage the successful execution of our water irrigation projects. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading the project team to ensure the timely completion of projects within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.Responsibilities:• Plan, execute, and manage water irrigation projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle.• Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.• Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and regulatory bodies, to obtain necessary approvals and permits for project implementation.• Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement proactive measures to mitigate and resolve them.• Monitor and control project costs, including procurement, labor, and materials, to ensure adherence to the approved budget.• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, ensure compliance with safety standards, and address any construction or design-related issues.• Prepare regular project status reports, including progress updates, financial summaries, and risk assessments, and present them to senior management and clients.• Foster positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to water irrigation projects, and apply this knowledge to enhance project delivery.Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.• Master’s degree in Construction Management is highly preferred.• Registered with the Engineers’ Registration Board (ERB) or a relevant professional body in the country (registration in another country shall be considered an added advantage).• A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in project management, with a focus on water irrigation projects.• Must have completed at least one similar water irrigation project (500-2000 hectares) as a Project Manager within the past 10 years.Skills and Competencies:• Strong project management skills, including project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.• In-depth knowledge of water irrigation systems, construction techniques, and relevant regulations and standards.• Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary project teams.• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.• Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose practical solutions.• Proficient in project management software and tools, and familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software is advantageous.• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and regulations.If you meet the minimum qualifications and have a proven track record in managing water irrigation projects, we invite you to apply for this challenging and rewarding opportunity.
