PRODUCTION MANAGER (BLOW AND INJECTION & PET)

About the company:

We are a leading manufacturers of flexible packaging materials and plastics in Uganda
We produce customized packaging for a huge variety of foodstuffs & confectionary, fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceutical products, personal hygiene products etc

Job Purpose:

A candidate with prior experience in BLOW , INJECTION or PET plastic production. Responsible and accountable for production plans and processes, health, safety and housekeeping, training, employee supervision and management, cost cutting, preventive maintenance, production of quality products and timely production of customer's products.

The role location is in Uganda. Open to East African candidates willing to relocate.

Qualifications:

1. Should hold a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering
   or Electrical Engineering or any other related field, from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning

2. Certificate [professional*qualification in in the related field is an added advantage
   

3. Minimum 5years of relevant experience in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods Company in a
   similar role

4. Ability to effectively communicate with Board level stakeholders and Senior Management team.
   

5. Experience in Blow and Injection & PET sector is an added advantage.
   

1. Plan for and ensure to achieve production key performance indicators, targets, quality products and waste reduction as per the manufacturing standards and quality management systems.
   

2. Plan and implement prodüction plans, budgets and ensure that all raw materials are
   efficiently used to produce quality products as per customers' needs and requirements.

3. Make manpower production plans and ensure maximum utilization and achievement of
   production plans.

4. Implement and monitor production schedules and adjust production schedules as needed with approval from the General Manager.
   

5. Ensure respective production Key Performance Indicators are fully implemented and
   performance plans are achieved

6. Ensure that the production is of high quality standards and cost effective.
   

7. Investigate and follow up on customer complaints to prevent reoccurrences.
   

8. Responsible for training of staff, supervise and all reporting staff and ensure their
   retention on the job

9. 
   

   Ensure that all health and safety guidelines and SOPs are followed and implemented as expected and ensure that there are zero incidents [accidents
   

   
   

10. Ensure that any machine breakdowns are attended to in the shortest time possible.
    

11. Supervise maintenance duties, machine installations, monitor and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce on downtime.
    

12. Submit daily, weekly and monthly production reports to the supervisor and utilize
    all available production software

13. Attend to all section internal and external audits as required
    

14. Participate in review of machine technology advance initiatives to increase production
    efficiencies

15. Participate in cost cutting initiatives in all production utilities, human resource and
    all downtime prevention measures.

16. Maintain procedures for accurate inventory of finished goods and raw materials.
