Product Manager

Adyen is looking for a Product Manager who is passionate about financial technology to develop and manage our payment products in India. In this role, you will enable Adyenâs merchants to expand their global payment capabilities into India, creating a unified commerce experience for our merchants and their shoppers.

As a Product Manager, you will own the full product lifecycle - from conception to implementation to launch. Your duties include working with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and to create impactful and scalable products with user experience in mind. Therefore, you should have a keen eye for identifying product gaps, an entrepreneurial mindset for solving them, and the ability to recognise significant revenue opportunities. Additionally, you need to be adaptive to navigate the course in an ever-changing landscape. 

What youâll do

Responsible for reviewing the technical capabilities of local payment methods, evaluating how they perform and how to improve them. You will work closely with developers, implementation managers and business teams in order to scope out our partners technical integrations and ensure we are building the right products that suit Adyen and its merchants Identify what our partners have to offer, features, functionalities, their limitations and design how they would fit into Adyenâs platform Scoping projects from small improvements and bug fixes to large changes in infrastructure and product Enable the rest of the organisation to use all aspects of the Adyen product you are managing to the maximum, by passing on your knowledge including technical (features) Be the driving force behind project tracking and the continuous implementation of needed tasks; ensure that there is a source of truth for the tasks at hand

Who you are 

You have at least 5 years in Product Management and 2+ years of experience in a technical role Deep knowledge of UPI / NPCI and India payment landscape Experience with Web APIs and knowledge in software development and testing Previous experience managing technical projects through its whole lifecycle (from scoping to testing and go-live) Proven record of high performance managing complex initiatives. Data focused, providing actionable insights, and tracking the success of those initiatives Able to communicate in a simple way complex integration problems. with an engineer, product managers, commercial teams; tailoring messaging based on the audience Comfortable facilitating workshops and design sessions and can balance technical with business goals Passionate about new technologies and have a good grasp of the following topics: Language: Java, JavaScript⦠Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL/NoSQL API Design: REST, RPC, AsyncAPI, security (OAuth2â¦), idempotency Cloud or distributed computing: AWS/Azure/GCP Unix systems Encryption standards (symmetric vs asymmetric) Bonus points for International experience
