1. JOB DETAILS:

Job Title: Technician – Panel Beater

Reports to: Service Supervisor Body Shop

Direct Reports: NA

Department: Service

Location: Uganda

Band: C


2. JOB PURPOSE:

To repair damaged vehicles as per the repair order with efficiency and accuracy.  To examine and identify any faults on the chassis/engines and give technical advice on the required repairs and/or replacement parts.  To check and ensure that quality work is carried out on customers vehicles.

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Responsible for safety, economy and accuracy of own work or work assigned apprentice.  Care of customers’ property.

  • Maintain the work bay neat and clean at all times.
  • Dispose any hazardous waste in accordance with the state regulations (NEMA).

  • Account for dealership owned tools at all times.

  • Not to cause accidental damage to customers vehicles

  • Liaise with line supervisor to obtain required materials.
  • Give feedback on work in progress.

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: 

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: 

Grade I Trade Test, Final Proficiency, Craft III


Minimum Experience: 

3 Years


Job-Specific Skills: 

  • To have served as a recognized apprenticeship.
  • To have undertaken manufacturer's training.
  • To have experience on manufacturer's model range.
  • Computer literate


Behavioural Competencies : 

Good interpersonal relationship.
