JOB TITLE: OPT CUSTOMS ENTRIES
REPORTS TO : GROUP SALES & MARKETING MANAGER
Generate in a timely manner from the URA ASYCUDA system, T1 or C2 forms to enable timely exit of exports from the country.
Maintain good custody of the export documents and provide a copy to Materials Dispatch, Sales, Audit and Tax/ Finance departments.
Make a proper follow up of the transport vehicle from the time it leaves the Roofing premises to exit from the respective border post.
Ensure the export validation process is completed and transmitted to the URA system in a timely manner. A minimum of Four (4) days will be allowed.
Immediately alert management of any irregularities identified in the export process. These may include URA system outages, truck breakdowns, Cargo transshipment, groupage cargo delays among others
Map out a risk matrix of the export process and share with management
Liaise with Insurance for risky customers
Prepare weekly reports to management detailing the transport vehicles exited from Roofings Premises, number of days taken to exit the country, any challenges identified and mitigation measures proposed
Periodically review business transactions/activities which are judged high risk from a tax compliance point of view and advise management on corrective action
Track movement of export trucks and communicate about the progress. Coordinate with customs agents for clearance on deliveries
Provide efficient delivery logistics through data management.
Compile carrier and route assignments, compute fees for each truck, and keep track of payments and quotas.
Plant Managers, HOD’s, Materials Dept, Outlets, Dispatch Officers, Accounts Dept, Audit Dept, HR Dept
Graduate in Marketing or business related field
Good report writing skills
Computer literacy a requirement
Able to speak two or more languages is an added advantage
