Nursing Officer, Makerere University Health Services

 Provide quality nursing care services in the hospital and community.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Double-trained nurse at registered level such as Registered Nurse/Psychiatry or with a Certificate in Nursing Administration or Health Services Management from a recognized institution;
  
• A degree in Nursing from a recognized training institution is an added advantage;
  
• Must be registered and licensed with the Nurses and Midwives Council.
  

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience at Nursing Officer level in the Public Service
  

• Participate in planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation of Nursing Services in the health unit/ward;
  
• Provide support supervision in the provision of nursing care;
  
• Prepare and implement nursing services day roaster;
  
• Requisition and account for medical supplies and equipment;
  
• Maintain a clean and healthy ward environment;
  
• Compile and submit reports to the Principal Medical Officer;
  
• Supervise and appraise staff;
  
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
