Report to: Sales Manager, Chief Executive Officer, and Director.

We are proud to be among the leading distributors of medical equipment, supplies, and consumables in Uganda, especially imaging and radiology, critical care, surgical, and medical furniture.  

Our medium-term plan for the Ugandan market is to venture more into the medical laboratory equipment and reagents while our expansion plan is to focus on the African continent market.

Job Summary:  

Medical Equipment sales representatives are responsible for selling medical products, equipment,  and services to hospitals, health systems, doctor's offices, clinics, 


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:  

  • You are required to undertake but are not limited to the following duties directed by the  Supervising Officer. 
  • Cold call and visit prospects on location to generate leads and Sales of Medical  Equipment 
  • Build Solid relationships, Maintain and monitor existing customers with hospital staff by providing excellent after-sales service. 
  • Recruit new customers to increase the customer base and persuade them to make purchases. 
  • Meet and exceed monthly quarterly and annual sales quotas.
  • Driving incremental  revenue through successful sales activities 
  • Carry out market analysis from time to time or as requested by the line manager or management.
  • Reach out to Health Facilities and other medical professionals through both offline and online means and develop constructive relationships. 
  • Negotiate contracts with prospective clients taking care of terms of the agreement and post-contract formalities. 
  • Knowledgeable about the product offerings, services, and unique benefits provided by competitors and other relevant companies. 
  • Work closely with departments of purchase, sales, operations, and strategy to implement effective plans and strategies. 
  • Analyze market trends and conditions to understand where opportunities for networking and business-building may arise. 
  • Communicate between sales, marketing, and support teams to improve customer  experience 
  • Identify customers' needs and recommend company products that best fulfill those needs. 
  • Write technical report/machines (Inspection report) upon receiving the items.  ∙
  • In-house sales of the Company’s Products and Services. 
  • Follow up on customers about the quotation. 
  • Provide product demonstrations, and support, and Give sales presentations to a range of prospective clients. Continuing Medical Education (CMEs) 
  • Visit clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services. ∙
  • Answer client questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability. ∙
  • Carry out other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time.


REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s Degrees in Biomedical Engineering, Laboratory Technology, and  Biology, Marketing and Management, Biomedical Science, Medical Imaging, and  Pharmacy.  
  • Biomedical engineers with Equipment and Comprehensive Training would be an added advantage. 
  • Knowledge and Familiarize with the Medical Equipment sales products. ∙
  • Comprehensive Computer Skills.  
  • Previous strong experience working in sales of Medical Equipment and Devices with a minimum of 1(One) year of working experience.
