Job Summary
China North Machine Co., Ltd is in need of a Mechanical Technician responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery, ensuring their efficient and safe operation. Should be able to troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and conduct repairs, often working with various types of equipment like pumps, generators, rice machines, maize machines, oil press machines, block machines,2 wheel - walking tractors, 4-wheel tractors, conveyors etc.
- Minimum Qualification : Diploma
- Experience Level : Mid level
- Experience Length : 6 years
Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Installing and assembling mechanical components and systems according to specifications and technical manuals.
- Maintenance: Performing routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to maintain equipment in optimal working order.
- Repair: Diagnosing and resolving mechanical malfunctions, including troubleshooting electrical systems and replacing worn or damaged parts.
- Preventive Maintenance: Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure long-term reliability.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and service history.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying the root cause of mechanical issues and implementing necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Safety: Ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols when working with machinery and equipment.
- Optimization: Identifying areas for improvement in equipment efficiency and performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical skills: Knowledge of mechanical principles, tools, and equipment.
- Troubleshooting skills: Ability to diagnose and solve mechanical problems.
- Mechanical aptitude: Understanding of mechanical systems and their operation.
- Attention to detail: Accuracy in inspections, repairs, and record-keeping.
- Physical stamina: Ability to perform tasks that require standing, lifting, and bending.
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues.
Qualification
- Must have at least a diploma in mechanical engineering
- Previous experience handling and installation of production lines for (rice, maize, water, oil , wheat etc)
- Computer knowledge is a plus
- Proficient interpersonal & communications skills
- Possession of a valid driving permit is an added advantage
Experience
- Must have 6 (six) plus years of experience
