Logistics Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review all customs documentation required for the clearance of cargo.
• Ensure compliance with customs laws, regulations, and procedures for both sea and air freight.
• Manage bonds and ensure all necessary bond documentation is accurately processed and maintained.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to arrange and optimize shipments.
• Monitor cargo movement on the high seas and via air, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Facilitate the clearance of cargo through customs procedures, resolving delays or issues proactively.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, customs documents, and bond status.
• Liaise with customs authorities, port authorities, airlines, and other relevant agencies.
• Stay updated on changes in customs regulations, shipping policies, and international freight forwarding standards.
• Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to freight and customs documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Transport and Logistics Management or related fields. Post-graduate in Clearing and Forwarding is an added advantage.
• Proven experience of at-least 5 years in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or logistics.
• Good knowledge about clearance software and bond management software
• Good understanding of shipping logistics, customs regulations, and international trade procedures.
• Knowledge of bond management and related documentation.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Proficiency in relevant software and documentation systems.
