Laundry Attendant

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Saturday: 9:00am – 4:00pm

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for ensuring all apartment linens and personal clothing are collected, washed, ironed, and returned on time. This role plays a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect laundry (linen and personal clothing) from apartments at 8:30am each day.
• Wash, dry, and iron items including but not limited to: towels, bedsheets, pillowcases, and residents’ personal clothes.
• Organize, fold, and prepare cleaned laundry for delivery.
• Ensure laundry is ready for return by 4:00pm daily (weather permitting).
• Coordinate with housekeepers to ensure timely pickup and delivery to the respective apartments.
• Operate laundry machines safely and efficiently, following proper care instructions.
• Monitor machine performance and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room at all times.
• Follow all health, hygiene, and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred, but not required (training will be provided).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle delicate fabrics with care.
• Good time management skills to ensure daily deadlines are met.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift laundry baskets and stand for extended periods.
• Punctual, dependable, and customer service–oriented attitude.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: UGX 12,000 per day (inclusive of meals).
• After a 3-month probation period, employer contributions for NSSF and PAYE will be provided.
