Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Provide technical support to employees and troubleshoot IT-related problems.
  • Ensure data security, backup management, and cybersecurity measures.
  • Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with departments to understand IT needs and provide solutions.
  • Plan and execute IT projects, including system upgrades and installations. 


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management or logistics is preferred, with demonstrated success in leading projects and teams
  • Experience in IT support, network administration, and security management.


Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, software, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
  • Understanding of network protocols, cybersecurity principles, and best practices.
  • Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and network devices.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot IT issues for employees.
  • Monitor and enhance data security, ensuring firewall, antivirus, and cybersecurity protocols are in place.
  • Manage enterprise networks, including VLAN configurations, subnetting, and server administration. 


Additional Skills:

  • Configure and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, and domain environments.
  • Implement cloud computing solutions, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and AWS.
  • Develop and maintain database management systems (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) for efficiency.
  • Ensure proper backup management, disaster recovery planning, and data integrity.
  • Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) for optimized infrastructure performance.
  • Oversee software deployment, updates, and licensing compliance. 


Reporting Structure:

The Senior Office engineer will report directly to the Information and network officer and collaborate closely with general staff/ emplyees and other members of the company’s team.
