Job Title: IT ASSISTANT
Job Purpose
To support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. Perform desktop support, troubleshooting desktop hardware/software problems, and carrying out projects as assigned in a culturally diverse environment
Key Responsibilities
a) Work with end users to identify and deliver required PC service levels
b) Liaise with, and provide training and support to, end users and staff on computer operation and other issues.
c) Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products.
d) Where required, install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end-user workstation software and networking software products.
e) Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
f) Receive and respond to incoming calls and/or e-mails regarding PC and/or hardware problems.
g) Develop and maintain an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, printers, scanners, and other peripheral equipment.
h) Monitor and test PC performance and provide PC performance statistics and reports.
i) If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.

Educational Requirements:
Related Job Experience/Qualifications: (
At least 2 years experience in a similar role in a busy commercial environment with multiple units
Technical skills: ((E.g. computer literacy, budgeting, knowledge of relevant legislation, knowledge of professional standards, working knowledge of statistical or qualitative software packages, etc. Please indicate as applicable to the role)
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
Ability to troubleshoot common hardware/software issues
