Job Description/Requirements

Head, Consumer and High Net Worth Clients (CHNW), (AR Country) 

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer, CHNW Clients; CEO, Country (Day-to-day) 


Job Purpose  

To own, execute, scale, entrench and commercialize the CHNW  value proposition for the country; and build, maintain and scale quality client relationships. This includes the identification of local market  3rd Party products and ecosystems, informed by client analytics and engagements. To promote a client experience aligned with the strategic value drivers, which addresses clients' life journeys through the client engagement platforms.

Outputs 

Client 

  • Implement the client value proposition in the country with approved customizations. 
  • Drive and entrench a consistent client experience through all engagement platforms. 
  • Partner with Client Solutions and 3rd Party partners and ecosystems for the delivery of integrated multi-products and services for the client. 
  • Track, monitor, and report on client metrics to drive growth and achieve scalability aligned to the strategic value drivers. 
  • Drive and encourage the behaviors that result in quality client engagements and client growth i.e. personalized conversations. 
  • Stay abreast of market and competitive developments in order to provide input to innovative and value-added services to gain market share. 
  • Maintain alignment with other segment heads in order to ensure client value proposition delivery and reduction of duplication across segments. 


Financial Management 

  • Execute the financial and value management outcomes required in conjunction with country  EXCO and approve financial budgets in line with CHNW requirements. 
  • Maintain and monitor appropriate capital and liquidity requirements in conjunction with CEO 


License to Operate 

  • Adhere to all license requirements for CHNW in the country. 


People 

  • Enable integrated ways of working and collaboration across the value chain to deliver for the client. 
  • Ensure alignment to the People and Culture standards with regard to all employee-related matters. 
  • Provide input into talent strategy developed by People and Culture. 
  • Identify current and potential employee skill requirements in consultation with the People and  Culture function. 
  • Set the example and lead the team in line with the Group’s leadership identity, core values, and People Promise.

Product 

  • Develop in-country multi-product client experiences to address a client’s life events,  distributed through client engagement platforms. 
  • Enable ecosystem approach for the segment in the country with SBG and 3rd party products and services through the platform. 


Risk, Regulatory, Prudential & Compliance 

  • Verify that the design and development of the country’s segment objectives are achieved within prudent market risk and conduct parameters. 
  • Accountable for overall risk management and adherence to all governance standards for the continued sustainability of CHNW. Implement appropriate recovery and resolution plans to protect CHNW from any untoward event. 
  • Implement and monitor satisfactory audits and ensures that there are no repeat unsatisfactory findings as gauged by operational losses and retain central oversight of all risk and remediation matters relating to CHNW. 
  • Implement and adhere to client risk appetite based on the defined framework which is signed off by CHNW in the country in conjunction with Risk. 
  • Implement and monitor risk management across CHNW (e.g., operational risk, credit risk,  ecosystems risk, and partner risk management) i.e. risk appetite, pricing etc.). 


Strategy 

  • Manage and execute the segment’s value proposition in alignment with Group requirements for the country. 
  • Implement and identify customizations for CHNW toolbox for the country in collaboration with other capability heads. 



Qualifications

  • First Degree (Business Commerce)
  • Other Minimum Qualifications, certifications, or professional memberships 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Other Preferred Qualifications, certifications, or professional memberships  
  • A postgraduate qualification e.g. Chartered Accountant or MBA. 
  • Consumer & High Net  Worth
  • Client Coverage 
  • More than 10 years of Significant experience in the consumer and high net worth segment in financial services.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in developing and executing value propositions that work for consumers in growing and rapidly evolving markets, with specific experience in  Africa Regions.
  • A proven track record in high-level leadership in organizations of comparable size and complexity.
  • Strong understanding of digital, open banking, and platform integration into CHNW  segments.
  • Total number of years of experience: 15 years
