Job Description/Requirements
On behalf of our client, we are urgently looking for a Finance and Administration Manager to be based in Kampala. Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
The ideal candidate should have the ability to work independently and demonstrate a proven track record of success.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s Degree in the same or a related discipline is an added advantage.
Professional Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) certification.
Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
Additional Expertise: Experience in procurement and human resource management is essential.
Financial Controls and Processes: Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage financial controls and processes.
Grants and Donor Funds Management: Experience in managing grants and donor funds is a strong advantage.
ERP Software Proficiency: Experience working with SAP Business One ERP software
1.Overseeing the financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes of the organization.
2.Developing and implementing financial and administrative policies.
3.Managing the company’s financial affairs, including management and statutory accounts
together with longer-term financial projections, and ensure that the most efficient and effective financial control systems and reporting mechanisms are in place.
4.Providing financial reports and advice to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
5.Coordinating audits and financial reviews to ensure accountability and transparency.
6.Liaising with Uganda Revenue Authority and the Auditors, and to ensure completion of PAYE, income tax, and other returns as per the laws of Uganda.
7.Ensuring that all bank accounts and statements are regularly reviewed and reconciled
monthly.
8.Managing accounts, payroll, procurement, and expenditure control.
9.Efficiently managing all external contracts, and ensure that all the organizations expenditure is correctly authorized and accounted for.
10.Overseeing human resource functions, including recruitment, performance management, and
staff development.
11.Managing office operations, logistics, and procurement to ensure smooth functioning of the organization.
12.Ensuring that the organization's legal responsibilities are met, particularly that all necessary
insurance is properly in place.
13.Perform any additional roles as delegated by the Executive Director and or the Board of
Directors.
