Asaak is an asset financing company that provides credit by lending motorcycles to drivers to improve the livelihoods of informal workers in Uganda using the digital approach.
Job Summary:
The Credit Administrator will supervise a team of credit officers in line with the credit policies, and procedures and set targets as expected from the institution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of credit officers in managing the daily administration of loan documentation in full compliance with the internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Review loan documents and liaise with internal and external parties to ensure proper and efficient delivery of credit administration duties.
- Conduct periodical review on loan administration policy and procedures to streamline workflow.
- Generate, review and maintain loan disbursement reports for presentation to credit committees, and provide monthly reports on the same, in accordance with the credit policy and guidelines.
- Ensure all lending Documentation is complete as per the Company Policy and Procedures with respect to the amount of finance, terms, and conditions, borrower’s borrowing mandate, authorized signatory, etc.
- Responsible for collateral valuation, collateral monitoring, and collateral reconciliation with original documents.
- Spearhead the repayment process of loans and maintain a good Portfolio necessary for company growth.
- Ensuring post disbursement compliance with approved terms and conditions in line with the credit policy.
- Generate and review daily system credit monitoring and management reports and identify nonperforming accounts with irregularities and proactively follow up to ensure corrective action is taken in line with credit policy.
- Monitor all irregularities, past dues, documentation deficiencies, etc., and report to Senior Management.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, microfinance, or any related field.
- Have at least 3-5 years of experience in underwriting, credit analysis, marketing or financial analysis experience; prior experience in a Credit supervisory role is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, characterized by excellent writing and speaking skills
- Must possess excellent multi-tasking skills and be able to function under pressure.
- Ability to handle fast-paced environments with minimum supervision and meet project deadlines. Knowledge of boda boda financing is a plus.
- Ability to use a tablet/smartphone/computer, experience with Google Applications is an advantage
- Knowledge of asset/motorcycle financing is a plus
- Should be fluent in English and Runyankole.
