Position Outcomes / Accountabilities

  • Review and consent to works within road reserve applications in a timely and efficient manner which aligns with the processes and timeframes under the Code of Practice – Management of Instructure in Road Reserves of the Road Management Act 2004.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer orientated service to all internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Exercise professional judgement in the assessment and consent to works within road reserve applications to ensure the road network continues to operate safely and efficiently and road asset continues to be protected when third party works are taking place on the road.
  • Use negotiation and influencing skills to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the business area’s objectives are communicated and prioritised.
  • Negotiate with and influence key stakeholders to remove or minimise barriers to improved service delivery.
  • Actively participate in self-development, implementation of change, while showing initiative and making a positive contribution to the team environment

A strong foundation in critical thinking and problem-solving is essential, as the role involves analysing data, stakeholder needs, and potential solutions before making informed recommendations. Additionally, the candidate should have a solid understanding of systems thinking, applying appropriate tools to assess situations and foresee organizational impacts.

The role also requires digital and technological literacy, integrating the latest developments into policy and program design to enhance service delivery.

On a personal level the candidate will demonstrate strong flexibility and adaptability, quickly adjusting to changing priorities and collaborating seamlessly with external teams.

Qualifications And Experience

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant or a related discipline.
  • Ability to read and interpret Plans.
