We’re looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Communications and PR Manager responsible for coordinating and managing PR activities, building media relations, establishing partnerships, and organizing events.

On the high-frequency use of our transportation service, our client is providing value to consumers, our drivers, and passengers, with additional financial services, payments, and other on-demand services to keep Africa moving forward. Based in Uganda, Kenya, and Nigeria, we are a venture-funded company (Series B) that has a huge impact on millions of people in East and West Africa.
Develop communications and media plan including strategy, goals, and budgets
Coordinate and manage public relations activities, media inquiries, and interview requests
Create content for press releases, byline articles, newsletters, medium, company blog, and keynote presentations
Monitor, analyze, and communicate PR results
Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising
Plan and manage events
Build and maintain relationships with thought leaders
Maintain an understanding of industry trends and propose recommendations regarding communication strategy
You Should Have
5+ years of experience as communication or PR manager
A track record of developing and delivering communication strategies
Experience in working closely with journalists and responding to media requests
Creative problem solving and critical thinking skills with a passion for action and a get things done attitude.
