Job Summary
To grow sales volume profitably by ensuring all Commercial KPIs are in line with general objectives expectations and manage the entire order cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage client relationships to achieve the expected client satisfaction
- Identify new opportunities for new contracts to grow the client base
- Strategically planning and managing transportation, fleet, and customer services.
- Analyze data and create reports to identify areas of business growth
- Oversee departmental operations and drive all sales strategies to maximize profit.
- Oversee Debt Recovery Management
- Developing strategies for achieving the agreed-set targets.
- Bid on new projects and negotiate contract terms
- Ensure zero dumping and diversions in western key accounts
- Liaising and negotiating with clients and closing all sales in the most profitable manner.
- Improvement of customer service levels by developing standard processes and continuously managing sales in an effective way.
- Involvement in the Customer Credit Management process.
- Producing day-to-day, weekly and monthly reports for both cement and transport
- Do daily reconciliation of sales both transport and cement by Customer
- Ensure credit sales have been authorized prior by the Line supervisor and the MD
- Oversee and drive sales of both types of cement and transport of all key accounts
- Reclaim the lost market share in the western region and widen the central market share
- Provide monthly Income fleet/cement report
- Maintain a customer complaint log
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Transport sale of 347,500KM
- Cement sales of 8,500 tons
- Debtors: Cement>30days, Transport >60days
- Accounts reconciled 100%
- Invoicing at -7 days
- POD at -5 days
- SLA 100% achievement on all contracts
- Customer order fulfillment within 24 hours
- Timely reports
- Zero short landing and daily short landing report for all central loadings
- Zero unpaid extra kilometers and weekly extra kms report
- Timely response and updates to customers
