Position- Village Power Center Manager

Type- Full Time

Duty station – Mbarara


Job Summary

Village Power offers a range of Solar Home Systems to our customers throughout Uganda. At Village Power, we place a lot of focus on our customers, they are at the centre of everything we do: our products, our trainings, and our after sales service. A Village Power Centre Manager therefore plays a very important role of coordinating all activity between head office and their center in a given district in order to ultimately ensure excellent customer service.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities (JD)

1. Ensuring the daily functioning of the VPC 

2. Offer friendly customer service to clients

3. Receive customer orders and follow up accordingly

4. Manage the center’s inventory 

5.Advise customers on how to make telecom payments 

6. Ensure VPC sales and other relevant information reflects on dashboard 

7.Ensure cleanliness of the VPC at all times

8.Liaise with head Office on stock needs, petty cash replenishment, marketing material, center requirements etc.

9. Make sales by calling prospects and supporting at sales events when needed

10. Always maintain a good corporate image of Village Power and any other relevant duties as 

    assigned by Village Power management

11. Follow up on overdue or non-paying customers

12. Coordinate and record work plans of the sales team

8. Ability to coordinate multiple functions

9. Working knowledge of local languages 

10. Knowledge on solar products is an advantage

11. Computer proficiency (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook)


Required Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree 

• A Minimum of three years’ work experience in a managerial level
