Job Description SummaryBusiness Analyst role is primarily to identify critical business areas to increase efficiency and strengthen business processes. The primary responsibility is to provide support to the CEO in making informed decisions that align with the overall strategy and goals of the company.This would involve analyzing various aspects of the business, such as financial performance, market trends, and customer behavior, and providing recommendations for improvement.The individual will be responsible for analyzing internal and external data regarding the performance and impact of ATC Uganda business strategies and initiatives, assessing financial impact of new proposals, generate business insights and continuously analyze the market dynamics support the decisions making process.Responsibilities /KeyDeliverables• Conducting research and analysis on the industry, competitors, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and development.• Monitoring the financial performance of the company, analyzing financial reports, and identifying areas for improvement.Developing and maintaining financial models to forecast future performance and support the CEO make informed decisions.• Creating presentations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to the CEO and other stakeholders.• Collaborating with other departments to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.• Monitoring and analyzing customer feedback and behavior to identify areas for improvement in product or service offerings.• Providing support to the CEO and other executives in developing and implementing strategic plans.Validate information submitted to the CEO from various business sections.• Conduct independent feasibility assessment on proposals.• Evaluate resource requirements for new initiatives and make necessary recommendations in liaison with CFO.• Conduct independent reviews on all ongoing projects and make a report with recommendations to CEO.• Conduct independent market analysis on the various competitive activities.• Create data reports and monitor all data for accuracy.• Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad hoc projects as needed.JOB DESCRIPTIONPerson SpecificationEducation, Training,Skills & ExperienceQualifications:• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.• Creative and analytical thinker.• Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently• Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environmentDetail oriented and able to multitask, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities• Excellent organizational skills• Excellent written and oral communication skills• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization, including senior management• Strong interpersonal skills• Excellent follow up skills• The incumbent must be flexible as there may be occasions that require working beyond the standard working week to ensure the positions expectations and responsibilities are met.To be successful in this role, you should have excellent analytical skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner. You should also be comfortable working with data and have experience using various tools and software to analyze and visualize data. Additionally, you should be able to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Education and Experience:• Degree in Finance or related field• Member of a professional accountant body preferred• At least four years of experience in finance, accounting and financial analysis.• Good accounting knowledge of income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows required.Additional• We are a dynamic organization in a rapidly changing industry.
