Job Description/Requirements

Function: Service Centres 

Location: Arua – Northern Uganda 

Country: Uganda 

Reports to (designation): Head Service Centres 


Main purpose of the position: 

The branch manager will work to meet sales targets, Coordinate marketing activities in the region, and create relationships with Dealers and Retailers to promote market pull in the region. He will ensure the leadership of the teams in the service center and showrooms. 


Reporting into this position (designation and level) 

  • Branch Accountant 
  • Branch Stores Officer 
  • Regional Sales Manager 
  • Sales Officer 


Key responsibilities: 

  • Achieve sales targets and profitability of the service center as per budget. 
  • Creating a business line from Contractors in the Northern region market. 
  • Oversee company expansion programs in showrooms Northen region market 
  • Promote made–to–order, special-length sales in the region. 
  • Build relationships with Dealers and Retailers to promote market pull.
  • Build second-tier market – retailers, in satellite towns. 
  • Arrange quarterly meetings with artisans, for long-term relationships as  influencers 
  • Provide weekly market reports detailing market conditions including competitor activities, weekly sales feedback, and after-sales support. 
  • Develop standard color and accessory sales through Dealers and retailers. 
  • Develop and maintain impeccable customer relationships in showroom and field sales staff. 
  • Coordinate marketing activities in the region to promote value-added sales. 
  • Provide market intelligence with a future outlook. 
  • Develop a network of the field sales teams, to ensure that the company is reaches interior markets in the region. 
  • To provide project selling concept by securing projects at the inception stage, for residential and institutional segments. 
  • Provide after-sales service including visiting completed projects, and implementing customer call mechanisms. 
  • Addressing customer complaints. 
  • Manage the company property assigned in the area of jurisdiction 
  • Control, and motivate staff. 


Budgetary responsibility: 

  • Responsible for the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of  the service center budget as well as submitting inputs for the annual  Business Plan Process (BPP) 
  • Make sure that Office assets & equipment are efficiently used. ∙ Making sure inventory losses (damages, theft) are kept within set  limits 


Managerial /Supervisory responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Supervision of direct reports and subordinates. ∙ Manage, motivate, train, develop and appraise team to meet total customer service and company objectives. 
  • Select, evaluate and develop department employees, following  general HR policies 
  • Evaluate the training needs of all staff reporting to the position and  ensure appropriate plans are in place 


Working conditions: 

  • The working environment requires that the Branch Manager and all his/her Team wear PPEs for safety reasons. 
  • Office bound / on-site / travel/ May be required to travel 
  • The company may choose to relocate to branches or other sister  offices as and when needed 
  • Willing to work extended hours to accomplish job roles

Qualifications:

  • A minimum University qualification of a bachelor's degree in any business-related field with a minimum of eight years of work experience in sales within a manufacturing/commercial environment. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the use of ERP (Enterprise Resource  Planning) applications. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain good customer relationships, both  internally and externally at all levels
