CERFODES seeks to recruit an Associate - Technology Consulting who will be responsible for delivering high-quality software by designing, developing, testing and maintaining highly web-based applications for our clients and the firm as well.

Duties and Responsibilities

1.   Preparation, supervision, and review of concept notes, pre-qualification documents, Expression of Interest documents, and Proposals.

2.   Track and follow up to ensure that all submissions are made ahead of time.

3.   Execution of all client assignments/projects assigned to by the supervisor: The tasks to be undertaken may include but not limited to the following:

• Provide technical leadership to team members around architecture, technology choices, code reviews, quality, security, automation, and documentation.
• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Participate in all stages of the Software Development life cycle, from concept planning to build, testing and delivery
• Designing and developing software
• Testing and debugging software to keep it optimized
• Writing clean code for the front and back end of the software
• Designing user interactions on the web application itself
• Creating servers and databases for the back end of the software
• Ensuring cross-platform compatibility and optimization
• Testing and maintaining the responsive design of applications
• Working with graphic designers to design new features
• Developing APIs and RESTful services
• Analyse reported bugs and improvement suggestions while optimizing application performance

Job specifications

Qualifications

·  The applicants must hold a degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.

·  A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar job

Technical competences

· Proficient in most or all of:

o  JavaScript, PHP, Python

o  HTML5, CSS3, LESS, Bootstrap

o  React or similar web frameworks

o  D3.js and experience of working with visualisations

o  PostgreSQL, MySQL

o  Linux, preferably Ubuntu

o  Cloud technology, e.g., Azure or AWS

· Deep understanding of Software Development methodologies, delivery frameworks

· Development experience for both web and server

· Experience with testing platforms and writing unit tests
