US Communications & Administrative Officer
Spark is seeking a compassionate, action oriented US Communications & Administrative Officer to manage the USA Office and coordinate the Executive Director’s schedule and travel. The Operations Officer will be one of just a handful of leaders in the USA office working to support the growth of fundraising, advocacy and an approach to community-driven development where people are finally in control of their own development. The USA office primarily supports operations in sub-Saharan Africa with potential growth to new regions.

Spark proactively reaches out to rural villages facing poverty in sub-Saharan Africa and supports members to design and launch local projects from farms to schools. Communications & Fundraising
Draft communications with potential and existing partners
Prospecting fundraising and partnership opportunities
Support in grant-writing and reporting
Process donation receipts, and financial tracking of gifts
Plan and coordinate Spark events and gatherings
Manage the Executive Director's calendar and travel
Expense report management
Manage online systems (Salesforce, Expensify, Dropbox etc)
Ensure smooth administrative on-boarding
Coordinate USA and board insurance policies
File regulatory papers for office
