Project Officer

Saferworld is an independent non-governmental organisation that works to prevent violent conflict and build safer lives. We work with civil society, governments and international organisations to encourage and support effective policies and practices through advocacy, research and policy development, and through supporting the actions of others. 

We have been working in Africa since 1997, with a primary focus upon East Africa and the Horn region. We have well-established programmes in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan and Somalia/land and our headquarters are in London.
In Uganda, we have been promoting sustainable peace and inclusive development since 2001. Our geographical areas of intervention include: Moroto, Amudat, Kaabong, Nwoya, and Adjumani with possibilities of spreading out to Amuru and Nakapiripirit.
Saferworld is a growing and ambitious organisation with a clear vision and strategy for our future development. We are currently recruiting for the following position to implement a project in Karamoja and Northern Uganda;
