We are looking to recruit a Legal & Regulatory Compliance Officer to support our manufacturing, sales & Marketing teams

Job Description


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Records and Contracts Management:
·         Filling, referencing and custody of all legal documents
·         Providing legal support to commercial teams
·         Drafting and custody of all correspondences between the company and its regulatory and business partners
Legal Compliance
·         Provide legal support and advice to the sales & marketing team on any cases as they may arise
·         Ensure amicable closure of all cases reported to the police or court to the benefit of the company
·         Work hand in hand with the legal and regulatory outsourced partners to ensure that they are providing the services required.
·         Training of  staff, vendors, customer and other applicable third parties with respect to their obligations and the code of business conduct
·         Conducting audit of business process to ensure compliance with the legal requirements, anti-bribery obligations and the code of business conduct
Regulatory compliance: Compiling and drafting monthly or quarterly updates to the regulator as required by the license
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
·         The applicant must hold a Bachelor of Law (Honours) plus Certificate of legal practice, LDC certification and its equivalent
·         Five years of relevant experience in a law firm.
·         Accuracy orientated with strong attention to detail
·         Expert knowledge of relevant compliance legislations
·         Expert knowledge of corporate and commercial law
·         Computer skills preferably strong in excel 
·         Strong drafting and reviewing skills
·         Exceptional organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
·         Able to work independently as well as in a team
·         Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
·         Detail orientated, analytical, problem-solver who is able to identify key issues swiftly
·         Effective self-leadership as an individual contributor in a high-performance environment
·         High level of integrity
·         Conflict management capabilities
·         Relationship management competency
·         Strong negotiation skills
