Job Description

TMR Hospital Administrator acts as a liaison between the clinical staff and the recipients of healthcare services. In general, the hospital administrator oversees the general functioning of the Hospital. This position manages the financial wellbeing of a healthcare facility, implements policy, and manages the medical and non-medical staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise daily administrative operations at TMR Hospital

2. Monitor expenses and suggest cost-effective alternatives

3. Create quarterly and annual budgets

4. Develop and implement effective policies for all operational procedures

5. Prepare/create scheduling procedures and protocols to ensure that all departments are adequately covered at all times

6. Maintain organized medical and employee records

7. Monitor administrative staff’s performance

8. Train new employees

9. Ensure prompt ordering and stocking of medical and office supplies

10. Answer queries from doctors, nurses and healthcare staff

11. Resolve potential issues with patients

12. Stay up-to-date with healthcare regulations


Essential  Desirable


BS degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or relevant field 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in hospital health care administration 

Ability to manage and lead health care staff efficiently and effectively 

Proven work experience as a Hospital Administration Manager, Medical Office Manager or similar role

Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital industry

Hands-on experience with database systems and MS Excel

Solid understanding of healthcare procedures and regulations

Basic accounting skills

Familiarity with medical transcription

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to supervise and train team members

Problem-solving attitude

Effective written and oral communication skills

Ability to prioritise work and to work accurately to tight deadlines 

Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance staff 

Ability to accurately interpret users’ requirements and to devise appropriate methods to meet those requirements

Self–starter, able to work to a general brief with minimal supervision
