Job Description

We are a delivery company in Uganda. We need a skilled and experienced delivery operation manager to manage our delivery operation. The ideal candidate will have experiences of a series of company operation and administration including logistics, finance & accounting, human resource and general affairs in the industry related to courier or delivery. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for our delivery operation and administration department, and be responsible for reporting to CEO and discussion partner with management.

 

  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
  • Arrange Delivery operation among clients, operators, drivers, and agents
  • Establish and maintain the existing customer relationships to retain revenue and maximize their satisfaction
  • Coordinate and manage delivery agent network across Uganda
  • Own recruiting, coaching, training and performance monitoring of operators and drivers
  • Handle incident and trouble shooting in delivery operation
  • Directs cash management operations to include daily cash administration, monitoring cash transactions, and management of the accounts.
  • Examine the levels of supplies and perform weekly analysis to supplies and stock control
  • Report key results directly to CEO
  • Engage with management in organizational strategic planning as a discussion partner

 

  • Demonstrative experience in a series of corporate operation including general affairs, accounting, HR and logistics.
  • Experience in courier or logistics industry
  • Knowledge of operations management
  • Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions with proficient in MS Excel
  • Experience in staff recruitment, coaching, training, and performance evaluation
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
  • (preferable) Solid knowledge of Ugandan courier industry
  • (preferable) Familiarity with process design and BPR work
