TPO Uganda is a national Ugandan NGO that has been operating in Uganda since 1994. Our Vision is a society where communities enjoy mental health and socio-economic wellbeing. Our program delivers child protection, economic empowerment, psychological support and prevention of violence against women and children. We are active in over 32 districts spread across 8 regions in the Country.
We are now looking for focused and self-driven individuals to fill the positions of;
The Finance Manager reports to the Country Director but also acts as the Secretary to the Audit and Risk Committee of the TPO Board of Directors. The Finance Manager is a senior management position. S/he provides financial expertise, strategy, and leadership to the way TPO Uganda resources are acquired, managed and expanded. S/he provides supervision to all finance operations and is responsible for recruitment, supervision, and development of a competent team of competent finance personnel. His/her influence transcends HQ operations to cover all field offices and locations and projects where TPO resources have been deployed.
Skills: Ability to lead and mentor teams, highly analytical problem solving, excellent communication skills, proactive and innovative and risk analysis.
Qualifications: The successful applicant must poses a BCOM or related accounting degree, a Masters in Financial Management and Accounting and be a full Chartered Accountant at ACCA/CPA level. We will require the successful candidate to poses demonstrable experience managing a multi-donor funded budget portfolio.
Experience: Must possess at least 8 years of experience in a Senior Finance Management position and be familiar with managing EU, USAID, UN, and DANIDA grants among others. S/ he must be able to work in SAGE PASTEL software.
